Alistre Lodge is in Band 1 (which is the topband) of the Local Authorities accredited list of residential & nursing home services. The home can also offer Continuing Healthcare. It is also rated by the Care Quality Commission as “Good”

Our Ethos of Care

The ethos of care within the home is to maintain the best possible quality of life for all of its residents and to provide a ‘home from home’ environment in which the individuals needs are met according to his/her choice, requirements and capabilities. This is in conjunction with a full plan of care based on a person centred approach. Dignity, fulfilment and individuality are just three of the essential elements dedicated to the nursing care and philosophy of Alistre Lodge Nursing & Care Home.

Our Aims & Objectives

To deliver a high quality of service for each resident, by way of continual monitoring and development of the homes internal systems.

To ensure that all residents are safeguarded and protected from abuse,  in accordance with statutory safeguarding policies.

To allow independence for each individual,  according to their needs and capabilities by determining the wishes of the resident through careful professional assessments.

To support each resident in maintaining their privacy, dignity, independence, choices and rights.  In a safe and comfortable environment in which to enjoy their latter years.

To provide opportunities for residents to be pro-active in response to their living environment.

Allow the residents to choose for themselves and make his/her own decisions wherever possible.
Encourage self help i.e. arranging own financial affairs/ administrating own medication etc.
Allow residents to be themselves and encourage their individuality.
Help to build residents’ self-esteem and empower them to take control of aspects of their lives.

Confidentiality

J Parker Care Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioners Office with regard to the handling of your personal information. The home is complaint with Data Protection and Confidentiality. Your information will only be shared with others upon your consent.

Admission

Application can be made by anyone, this is usually through family members or social services. If there is a vacancy a member of the management will visit you at your current location to assess your needs. During this visit you can discuss your needs, concerns about 24hr care and anything that may be important to you. You can visit Alistre Lodge or you could appoint a family member to look around. A complementary afternoon, including lunch can be arranged prior to your loved ones admission, this is something we actively encourage. Funding/Fees

Private individuals who are prepared to pay their own fees can be admitted immediately if a bed is available.

Those wishing to apply for public funding will have an assessment undertaken by the Local Authority, in some cases, admission can take place prior to the assessment being carried out, but admission can only be with their consent.

The fees at present for nursing care are from £990 per week, for residential care from £810.00 These fees are reviewed annually in April.
Payments can be made by Direct Debit / Cheque / or Cash. Cheques need to be made out to J Parker (Care) Ltd

Contract

A ‘Terms and Conditions of Residence’ agreement between the proprietors and the prospective residents will be required to be signed by all parties; The terms are usually held within the care plan but copies can be made upon request.
